E. Ruth Baum, 91 resident of Cumberland County Nursing Home, formerly of RD4 Carlisle, died Sunday in the home.
She was born in Penn Township, Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Emanual and Elizabeth Nickey Kreider
and the widow of Zoura M. Baum.
She was a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church and the Hope Bible Class of the Sunday School.
She is survived by six daughters, Viola I. Baum, 32 W. Ridge; Myrtel C. Myers, 461 N. Pitt St.; Ruth R. Fry, 609 Hamilton; Lois M. Baum, 32 W. Ridge St.; Anna M. Thumma, Plainfield; Beulah M. Lippert, 598 Burnt House Road; four sons, J. Herbert Baum, 915 N. Pitt St.; Sylvester Z. Baum, RD3 Newville; Donald K. Baum, RD9 Carlisle; Marlin T. Baum, 324 Ridge Hill Road; 26 grand-children; 41 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St. with the Rev. Alex Quigley officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
Freinds may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Zoura M. Baum, 88, RD4 Carlisle, West Pennsboro Township, died Sunday morning at Carlisle Hospital.
Mr. Baum was born April 19, 1889 in Cumberland County. He was a farmer in Cumberland County until his retirement.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Kreider Baum; seven daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Elizabeth) Myers and Mrs. John (Beulah) Lippert, both of RD5 Carlisle; Miss Viola I. Baum and Miss Lois M. Baum, both of 536 S. Hanover St.; Mrs Myrtle Myers, 461 N. Pitt St.; Mrs E. Cloyd (Ruth) Fry, 609 Hamilton St.; and Mrs. Lester (Anna) Thumma, Plainfield; four sons, J. Herbert Baum, 915 N. Pitt St.; Sylvester Z. Baum, RD3 Newville, Donald K. Baum, RD9 Carlisle; and Martin T. Baum, RD10 Carlisle; a brother, John S. Baum, 1005 Franklin St., 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. The Rev. Alex Quigley, pastor, Blue Mountain Charge, United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
